For over a year we talked about doing something with the composition "Microphonie" from the German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen.
Ofcourse, we wouldn't play his composition but use his idea instead and apply it to our own improvisation.

One played "tiny" sounds or small gestures. Another would move the microphone (close or from a little distance, or even moving around) to catch the sound. While a third person was treating that sound thru a set of six bandpass filters, ring-modulator and reverb.
This is what we came up with ;-)
